Project Objectives:

1. To review available methodologies for marine litter monitoring and identify which will be adopted for the Philippines;

   
   

2. To establish a database for marine litter that will be made available to the public;

   
   

3. To develop the Initial Research Framework and Program for the Monitoring and Assessment of Marine Litter, which covers the following:

   * Monitoring/Survey Design for different habitats

   * Methodology for monitoring and assessment of marine litter in different habitats

   * Use of marine litter data to support policy formulation

   
   

4. Develop the initial National Marine Litter Baselining of the National Plan of Action for the Prevention, Reduction, and Management of Marine Litter (NPOA-ML) website
