Project Objectives:

• Conduct a scientific monitoring study of plastics in Manila Bay

• Optimize the use of the Circular Explorer Vessel both as a research and an advocacy platform

• Conduct and organize capacity-building activities for Filipino early-career researchers in marine science including but not limited to plastics research, pollution studies, and oceanographic studies.

• Present reports to key stakeholders and partners and implement activities that educate and raise public awareness

• Write technical papers, white papers, or policy briefs, and publish research results.
