Purpose

The administrative and financial support to the University of the Philippines Marine Science Institute (UPMSI), is consonant with MERF’s mission of:

1. promoting the marine sciences in the country by developing research and training research personnel,
2. enabling the maintenance and operation of the Bolinao Marine Laboratory (BML) of the UPMSI; and
3. contributing to the conservation and rational development of the country’s marine resources.
